Cover songs, the good and the bad

The cover song is a mixed bag, it can compliment a great album or it can make your ears bleed. So now it's your turn, in my play-list are a collection of covers, vote on the best and the worst. In July I'll post the winners. So hurry up and vote!!

Note you can only vote on the songs in the playlist.

My vote: Worst, the Scissor Sister's version of the Pink Floyd classic Comfortably Numb. It is a dark, creepy song about drug abuse, not a upbeat peppy song to jog to!!!! The awful Patti Smith version of Smells like Teen Spirit comes in second.

Best is harder, Jimmi Hendrix's version of all along the watchtower is classic as is Aretha's Respect. I love Live doing Jonny Cash and The Clash punkifying Police on my Back but I have to go with Nirvana's version of David Bowie's Man who Sold the World. IT was hard to pick but I really like that one.

I vote for Live's version of
"I walk the line" as the best cover.

And the worst I think is Scissor Sister's "Comfortably Numb"

Worst - Sheryl Crow covering G'n'R.

Best - The Clash, which I didn't even know was a cover, or the White Stripes version of Jolene.

Best: "Respect" (although I like "Along the Watchtower" too)

Worse: "Jolene" by White Stripes

Guess David I don't see eye to eye about "Jolene"
